68 off 50 balls SR 136.00!!!

Re: Group 1: England v West Indies at Pallekele, Sep 27, 2012

3 x6s should be a dolly

Re: Group 1: England v West Indies at Pallekele, Sep 27, 2012

Good comeback by England but fell a bit short at the end...

Re: Group 1: England v West Indies at Pallekele, Sep 27, 2012

an excellent partnership comes to an end. These two were left with just too much to do

Re: Group 1: England v West Indies at Pallekele, Sep 27, 2012

What's the point of saving wickets...

Re: Group 1: England v West Indies at Pallekele, Sep 27, 2012

Windies win by 15 runs

Re: Group 1: England v West Indies at Pallekele, Sep 27, 2012

Doesnt matter cz at the end he couldnt finish it off u know what i mean ;)

Re: Group 1: England v West Indies at Pallekele, Sep 27, 2012

England never recovered from the loss of two wickets in the 1st over. Morgan (SR almost 200) should have come ahead of Bairstow

179/5 was a great batting effort by the Windies. English bowlers should take the major blame for the defeat

Re: Group 1: England v West Indies at Pallekele, Sep 27, 2012

I guess England left a little too much for the end. They brought it close though. I was expecting them to flatter around 150.

Re: Group 1: England v West Indies at Pallekele, Sep 27, 2012

Batting order was also wrong imo. Eoin Morgan should come in at 1- or 2-down

plus I believe that you don't really deserve to lose after scoring 175+

Re: Group 1: England v West Indies at Pallekele, Sep 27, 2012

Thanks to J Bairstow :hehe:

Re: Group 1: England v West Indies at Pallekele, Sep 27, 2012

No one mentioned it's a phatta wicket???

Re: Group 1: England v West Indies at Pallekele, Sep 27, 2012

Yes in T20 your best batsman should come at no 1 2 or 4 so that he should face the maximum number of balls

Just like I still believe that Umar Akmal should come at 3 or max 4 in T20 for Pakistan

Re: Group 1: England v West Indies at Pallekele, Sep 27, 2012

True. blame the real culprits - The english bowlers and Bairstow 18 off 29 balls (SR of 62 is not even good enough in an ODI!!!)

Re: Group 1: England v West Indies at Pallekele, Sep 27, 2012

Woh to hame Pak vs Bang ke match mein he pta lg gaya tha

Re: Group 1: England v West Indies at Pallekele, Sep 27, 2012

except that UA is not currently our best batsman (Nasir Jamshed is) or even as consistent as NJ or Morgan :hehe:

Re: Group 1: England v West Indies at Pallekele, Sep 27, 2012

Yes i know yaar But how do u expect him to gain form if he is not even having his batting at the proper place…When he comes its 5 6 overs left and he slogs and gets out which is not his type of games …NJ is awesome BTW have huge hopes from him tomorrow

Re: Group 1: England v West Indies at Pallekele, Sep 27, 2012

I’ve been yelling that in the PAK VS BD thread…this pitch was not planned rigth by England.

They should have simply come out with guns blazing…1 wicket down should have sent morgan to blast the mass of runs aways and then simply carry a 7 or 8 RRR and get home safely..

Group1 semifinalists will most likely be SL and NZ or SL and Windies :insh:

Lets hope for a Pak vs. SL semifinal

Re: Group 1: England v West Indies at Pallekele, Sep 27, 2012

and you just answered your own riddle..
with NJ in such form, along with KAKMAL who would promote UA to no. 3 or 4...?

Can only happen if Pakistan qualify for Semifinal after 2 games and just want to try that in a third game.

Re: Group 1: England v West Indies at Pallekele, Sep 27, 2012

inshallah
