Grapes are sour..

Re: Grapes are sour..

CB, I haven't shopped in Pak for crockery in ages so can't really say. I guess you should be able to find some .. tell me when you are there I'll ask around for stores you can try looking.

But do your homework, look around bargains in UK too before you go, so you'll be able to judge better if it's worth buying it from there or not both price-wise and style-wise.

Re: Grapes are sour..

Masi UK is very expensive yaar and we dont have that variety here … and if there is , then its over the budget … … I am thinkng of getting some crockery inshallah from Dubai and Pakistan when I visit next time :khumar:

Re: Grapes are sour..

jalpari--the original karhai recipe does not use any onions or yogurt. it does have a slightly tart taste. authentic karhai uses only fresh tomatoes (diced, not pureed), sabit dhanya (corriander seeds), coarsely crushed ginger, salt, and finely chopped green chilis. i've also seen a few people add a bit of coarsely crushed black pepper as well. garnish with lots of fresh cilantro or corriander and finely sliced fresh ginger.

Re: Grapes are sour..

if you still find it too tart, add an onion (finely chop, brown, then add tomatoes)
