googly, lol.. there is nothing sensitive. All the google earth/maps pictures are 4 months to 2 years old. Intelligence agencies/miltiaries dont need google earth to capture these pictures.. they can get more higher resolution and updated pictures through their own satellites and other means :)
Are you kidding? Google maps and then google earth were launched in 2005.. so how could the Iraqi soldiers get these pictures in 2003? :D these pics are are also months to years old as i said above :p
btw, previously it was known as keyhole and it wasn't available to general public for free. Google bought it, named it as google maps/earth and made it available publicly for free.

It was available for subscription.

Thank God google freed this up to the world. Its great. I can see my house. (Well my street). :D

The images on google earth are not real time. These are at least a couple of weeks old and are useless for use in battle for pin pointing troop movements e.g the Iraq invasion mentioned above by a poster.
