- as of today the old £5 pound note/s featuring the pic of g. stephenson have been placed out of circulation and replaced by a new note featuring a portrait of elizabeth fry.
in july dis year the £10 pound note featuring the pic of c. dickens was placed out of circulation.
i think one of the main reasons for introducing newer version of the bank notes is 2 curb the reporoduction of these notes illegally. *

i think its a gr8 idea, introducing newer bank notes from time 2 time as ppl get sick of staring @ old wrinkly dull faces. newer notes on the other hand will be more trendy, and look good in the wallet :smooth:
