:odayam really? hey give me a break, i haven’t watched any hollywood or bollywood movies much lately. why can’t these copycat directors ever use their own brains to invent their own good plot, maybe they should watch ‘3 idiots’ and get inspired
kites could have been a nice movie IF it had not made that much hype before its release. the story was very normal, however, the direction, cinematography was good. Which could have made it an amazing .. but it was TOO TOO TOO Much hyped and we had big hopes for it.. .. end result .. MAJOR FLOP
The same kind a thing happened to Aamir Khan's Mangal Panday.
^don't want to spoil it for others that might not have watched it yet. i won't say it was one of the best of 2010 but i liked the end.
they were the only two recent movies i saw.
i watched udaan yesterday night and do admit that was much better than raavan. with raavan, even if it was a bit boring, the girly side kind of took over in the end when he told her how much he respected her and that she should be treated like gold, but you’re right abhishek’s overacting with that "chik chik…"whatever it was that he kept repeating did get annoying after a while.
i think my prob is that when it comes to bollywood my expectations are lower than ever and i’m pleasantly surprised when the movie makes even a bit of sense
Karthik Calling Karthik is one my fav movie for 2010. I wrote it in my reply, that its not for typical bollywood fan .. quiet different plot, executed brilliantly.

Eh, I know what you mean. I’m just surprised that during filming no one took Abishek Bachchan to one side and said ‘dude, seriously, you have to get a grip; churning is not acting!’
I haven’t seen Karthik Calling Karthik, the gimmick sounded a little like Martin Amis’ Money. I’ll give it a look see at some point.
