Haripur and taxila mein rahay or choori nhi khayi 
meethi choori hoti hai jo rotti k pieces or lentils wagera se mil k bnti hai,
wahan hr saal kisi 1 particular month mein wednesday ko yeh arrange kiya jata hai,
i think kafi old tradition hai wahan ka..

same as tandoor. Bakery is of western origin and considerably a new phenomenon, but tandoor and naan-bai were there in desi culture since centuries.
Just read...it was the Egyptians first. Read this:
