Of course this stuff is happening, but not on such a level as you’ve been made to believe! Everyone is scared when they hear of this stuff, however, the vast majority of the population is managing to live their lives on the normal-est possible level.
People thought our family was mad when we wanted to move back to Pakistan, from one side it was “why would you go..aren’t there bomb blasts every day? isn’t your life under threat every day?” and on the other side, people were surprised we wanted to come back, but mainly because of the corruption/ dou-numberi kaam…
There are many more upsides to your coming to Pakistan to prepare for your wedding than against it; cheaper prices, more variety and flexibility… Frankly, I find many things are possible to do in Pakistan that you wouldn’t be able to do otherwise.
I would absolutely recommend you come to Pakistan! Keep hausla and use guidance from relatives who live in Pakistan and know the taur-tareeqay!
