Going away

Re: Going away

I stayed away from my family for 5 years.. 4 years in pakistan when i was doing bachelors there and one year in london for masters. I too was never away from my mother before that, but i made some daring choices to move away. And i still dont beleive i did it. :P

Living away has its good points and bad points.. The good things are that you become independent, you make strong friendships with the people u are living with, plus i think ur family realizes ur importance more and not to forget the royal treatment that u get when u visit them in holidays :D

The bad points could be that u have to endure a lot for being alone... i suffered much when i was in pakistan, more in terms of emotional and psychological way. The other factors were the living conditions i was living in, bad hostels, no water, extremely dirty toilets, bad food, stupid restrictions (no mobile, no laptop).. but yeah that was my choice.

Living in london was a very different experience altogeter... thats when i was really all alone(while in pakistan i was always accompanied by my freinds). Had a great time there.. and academically it turned out to be good...

So i wud say that you should move away and experience what life has to offer you all on ur own. Life will turn out to be pretty bad sometimes but there will be good times too. And finally when u will return, u will be a much stronger person.
