**my story is unique in the sense that i lived in a village upto age 15 and did NOT attend any school and on top of that i didn’t even know how to speak urdu. i spoke my own regional language called Poorbii or Bhojpuri. i home schooled may be 2-3 half days a week in English, Science and Math and thats about it.

then i came to the city with my bro who got a teaching position at AligaRh Muslim University [India’s ONLY Muslim University] and then i got admission into grade 10 in a school run by the university…prolly the only High school in the world run by the university with teachers who had PhD’s. i stayed with my bro and bhabhi. within a year at age 15 i was in the university doing my pre-university and upon completion i got into Pre Med for a year and then i got into Med School.

The same year my bro and bhabhi left for the US for his doctorate degree. i had to live alone in the dorm then. and thats when i faltered. my bro send me money in US dollars [a lot of money for me to handle] then at the end of the year i was short of required attendance…i was far short of 75%. i was kicked out. i was ashamed to the core. i had no choice but to enroll in BSc and finished in undergrad degree and then my bro helped me immigrate to Canada and i continued my further education. finallly, i could wipe my tears and shame.

i wanted to be a doctor but couldn’t become one for a reason Allah knows best … prolly this way a lot of innocent lives were saved hehe…BUT, i managed to become a doctor of ghaas phoos [PhD] anyways lol…a Horticulturist/Plant Pathologist i became and this way i can still kill but plants only! haha**

That was a really interesting read! Lol!
