Whats the use of producing kids after kids, when the person has no means to feed or educate them.
In later years, they may become malnutritioned resulting in long term sicknesses.
Jobless and with hate against society as a whole.
Maybe 'fodder' for the 'mullas" to exploit.
Unfortunately "using ones mind", "think" & 'logic" goes out of the window. The 'mullas' will start calling this blasphemy against Islam.

Population in general is growing too fast on this planet. Do we really need 6 billion people? With all the poverty and lack of resources perhaps we shouldn't be multiplying as fast as we are.

Thats just scaremongering. I live in the country where these protests happened, and it is only right wing whackjobs (BNP/EDL) who like to pretend that groups like Islam4UK or Hizb ut Tehrir have much broad support amongst Muslims. They're usually limited to 5 people with signs outside your jumma prayers ignored by people walking out. I doubt that any of those protests had more than a few dozen people at best on a good day.

Sometimes I wonder why i bother. The issue of poverty being a source for extremists recruits is well documented in various books dealing with Terrorism. Be it the various books by Ahmed Rashid, Al Qaeda by Jason Burke, the 10th Parrallel or so many others on the the subject manner.
As is the simple fact that many of the worlds biggest terrorists happen to be from well of families, and were educated in good schools.
Poverty can breed resentment, which can be exploited. But real ideological radicals tend to be rich and well off.
The poor that join the Taliban or other groups aren't necessarily religious conservatives, or ideologues, they are opportunists looking for power, respect and income.
Another words, being POOR does not equal being Conservative or even religious.

Yes if you speak of Al Banna, Syed Qutb etc who are the people behind the philosophy. However this is not the 1930s and 40s anymore. Look I would take Ahmed Rashid's word over yours any day of the decade. He knows what he is talking about.

Aside from the liberal/conservative malarky in this thread I think this is great. This isnt just a phenomenon limited to Pakistan or its local current affairs. Virtually everywhere that Muslims are, we are outnumbering others. Canada, France, parts of UK, maybe one day Israel are pretty striking examples. In these countries benefit is obvious. For our compatriots in our home countries, perhaps the emerging Muslim voter blocs can advocate looser immigration policies. Open borders!
Yes I hope we have more 3rld world communities springing up in the UK that will really help our cause. We already have a large uneducated muslim population in the UK and far from voting for beneficial policies, they vote like sheep for whoever the imam tells them to. And so far that has been for a party that has led us to invade Iraq and Afghanistan costing tens of thousands of muslim lives.

We already have a large uneducated muslim population in the UK and far from voting for beneficial policies, they vote like sheep for whoever the imam tells them to. And so far that has been for a party that has led us to invade Iraq and Afghanistan costing tens of thousands of muslim lives.
No party has elected to opt out of the wars, so thats a bit of a red herring. Muslims are pretty well represented in the UK politics, and that trend is only going to increase. A pretty good example is Baroness Warsi.

I agree that the poor are easily exploited, but that doesnt mean that poor automatically equals extremists or conservative.
Osama Bin Laden, Aiman Al Zawahiri and the rest of the top echelons of Al Qaeda are extremely well off. Even the guy who tried to bomb Time Square last year is from a well of family.

A dangerous time ahead for the world when uneducated idiots will outnumber educated ones.
Some disease, or plague should come and wipe out half of the world's population.
the dangerous time was (has been proven) and is ahead for the world, because of "educated idiots" who wage wars all around the world against "uneducated" ones... and dont be so happy, because almost half of these "uneducated idiots" are actually converts, who were formerly educated ones... sit back, watch and see : )
