I am not really into urdu literature, there is too much fantasy in there for me.
I had been told to read two novels, that i did in full and didnt regret. One was that 'meri zaat zarrae bainishan' and another one was a man's story. Loved both.

dude, there are some really trashy girly novels out there, and there are some that are just great.
who would call umera ahmed's novel peer-e-kamil girly? yet it was published in a women's digest. so please don't judge. just because you failed to find your self a novel that was worth your time, doesn't mean you generalize and call everything bad.
i read khawateen digest, and Shua, for around 7 years, and there were some good stories in there, and sometimes, not so good ones. but i wouldn't call them trashy either.
