generally, for compatibility, more than a couple of years age difference, either way, is not a healthy mix.

lady, where did i ever mention a jawan guy? i was refering the old 80 year old buddha in saieen's post. and why in the world do you feel so passionately about this issue?

It may be a basis of necessity. I know someone who is about 20/21, eldest girl of a man with 7 daughters... he's a simple businessmen who's earnings are ok. He married his daughter to a really rich, but really decent man who's about 36/37...
the groom's side were looking for a decent girl, and the girl's side was I guess looking for stability... they both got what they wanted. In a country like pakistan, the prospect of marrying off 7 daughters could be troublesome as it is, so I guess this decision was based on necessity, warna no father would opt to give his daughter away to a man who is 16 years her senior

necessity 2 marry her off 2 filthy rich guy? yeah right, they're just money hungry nd want lavish lifestyle.. iv seen some spoiled poor girlz in pkstn whove been pmprd n brought up getting everything they wanted..even if the family has 2 go 2 great lengths 2 do so ie. selling land, sending all boyz n men in fam,ily 2 foreign country 2 work in mediocre jobs, going in debt... all so miss spoiled brat can can stay in hostel in city and do private education (give money, get passed)!

Certainly greedy in my opinion. I have seen a few cases and their excuse: “koi rishtaa nahin milta thaa to socha aab age se compromise karoon gi to he must be filthy rich atleast” 
yea but i think familiesn girlz r 4rom paksitan r waaaay more greedy than pkstni girlz in outside foreign coutnries. i catually dont even think latter ategory is greedy at all. i havent really seen geediness here in the extent 2 which iv seen it in paksitan. in paksitan, evne rich ppl r greedy!but poor ppl there r the worst. all of my dad's nanke side risthidaares r vultures when it comes 2 money!

Though I don't quite support those huge age gaps but I guess over here we are generalizing too much. People fall in love, girls look for more stability, guys want younger girls, girls look for matureness, some have family pressure, etc... so there are all sorts of reason.
At the end if both husband and wife are happy, that is what matters and not how big the age difference is or what brought them together.

^ this reminds me of a story i read on chowk...where a guy slept with a girl who was going to marry a man 15-20 years her senior... and theN when that guy was in his 30s he married a teenager and he found out she was crying for her boyfriend...who was her age.. :D

I don't quite support teenagemarriages. I think girls should atleast graduate from college before they get married even if they don't plan on joining workforce.
