agreed not just hersheys pretty much all chocolate in US and canada is foul. they use way too much sugar. err i mean hig fructose corn syrup, you taste the sugar more than the chocolate. one exception being that san fran based company..ghirardeli which is decent.
I have had many ppl argue with me, but almost everyone agreed when they did a side by side of something as simple as UK kitkat vs US kitkat (I mean forget the premium brands and all)
Many of my colleagues from the US tend to stock up on English Chocolate when they go home and I don't think UK chocolate begins to compare with Belgian!
i grew out of it a few yrs ago. just ate it for the taste and because it got me hyper. before the 7 a.m. classes strong coffee with twix was a good picker-upper.
I've never been a fan of milk chocolate. Lately the only kind of chocolate I eat is bittersweet, dark and high cocoa. There must be some reason women turn to sweets during emotional times. It must have something to do with seratonin and endorphins or something.
