from all the drone attacks since 2004, appx 2000 people are killed and one source says that 90% of them were civilians ..

I, and majority of Pakistanis (I am sure you too) have always been against those drone attacks. If it were for the nationalists, we would have completely reviewed our relationship a long time ago. Pakistan going through a change, and this is a process which will take some time. But the direction is right!

I totally agree with you and part of your clan on this issue. All I am saying that expecting our govt to have a backbone to stand against US is a wishful thinking on your part. This is the govt who hand them back the American who killed our citizens in broad daylight on the street of Lahore. You really think that they have guts to threaten USA and will execute the threat?

I respect a lot of true American people ... beautiful people ... normal humans ... who happen to be just like us. You know why?
They have the moral courage to stand for the right and criticize the wrong. No matter by whom it is done.

If it were for the so called "Elite", they would have simply handed over the country to Yanks. So for that part, you are right, they will most certainly not execute the threat. But there are many patriots left in our ranks and files who are ready to defend and sacrifice for the country. Results of pressure build by those people is quite visible ... significant things such as vacating airbase, cutting supply lines, boycotting Bonn, restricting Neocon Mercenaries are happening.
Things are changing, compare today with earlier years of this century and see the difference. Slowly but steadily, things are changing.

It seems Kiyani is trying to assert himself after all these years, but it would take a lot of hard work and convincing to make the people as well as Americans take him seriously now.
Hundreds of drone attacks (99 % under Kiyanis tenure), obl operation, at least 50 soldiers killed by NATO friendly fire incidences, Americans present in important corp commander offices, and bases through out the country. How come suddenly Kiyani has realized that they are infringing on our sovereignty.

That is the nation's dilemma, both army and govt have agreed to lose sovereignty for $$$ and both do waavela when some obvious 'sovereignty' incident takes place and try to blame it on the other party.
