Is it okay for girls to receive gifts from boyfriends?
Depends on what is he expecting in return, i guess.

Jimmy Kimble is this one of your tricks to save yourself from giving a gift to whoever wins you in the auction? ![]()
PS: I agree that being involved in a relationship behind your parents’ back and moreover exchanging gifts is completely messed up.
Re: Gifts
I don't exactly know how a bf gf relationship works but I know we should never say no to a gift. :D
ha ha
no, you get a bunch of flowers. ![]()
Re: Gifts
@hareem exactly my point :D
apart from that when you have agreed to get into a relationship which itself is basically wrong according to Islam, why then fussing over minor things like exchange of gifts. what about the bigger wrong you have already committed.
obviously if the story is different, the guy's intentions are good and he does plan to marry the girl. then it should be official and parents should get involved as soon as possible :)
^ True.
Re: Gifts
astagfaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar . Total haram . kanoon ko haat lagaying :nono:
Re: Gifts
Religiously speaking the relationship is not allowed based on current meaning of bf/gf.
With cultural aspect, still exchanging gift may lead to something good or even bad. Expectations do go higher from both sides.
Most people (non-religiously) say if bf is happy to give and gf is happy to accept then who are others to object?
Re: Gifts
as long as the "gift" is not a nanha munaa baccha, all is cool.
Re: Gifts
sure if its genuinely from the heart...and they don't have any hidden reasons behind it...
