I agree with this. Not the price of a gift should determine how much you value the person who gave it to you. The fact that they did give you/your kid a gift and actually thought about it a bit and made sure it’s something useful or something that the kid likes, that’s what counts.
In my social circle everyone knows that my son is crazy about Dinosaurs. So 90% of the gifts he got for his birthday were somehow related to Dinosaurs, most of those were not really expensive gifts. But he loved them. And that’s what counts.
