He lives in a different state right? You know what would be special..if you bought him ticket to fly over to your place and went out somewhere or took him shopping and bought him something nice. < usually men do that but it would be so cute if a woman did. Or you could fly him over an take him to a special event like i would love to him over and take my fiance to the auto show, he would love that! And then spend the entire weekend with him :love:

Oh and theres already stuff out for valentines day, you could also buy him a whole bunch of lil things like chocolates and stuff

Give him something which has his name etched on it. Most malls have atleats one store that do the etching etc usually on metallic products. These stores also sell many gift products. When you personalize something, even a cigarette lighter seems a lot more valuable. He will hang on to it for a long time.

depends on what the guy likes. Like i'm big into apparel - i like to dress good. So a shirt/tie would work. Or else get some electronic gadget like ipod

It's not expensive (like a laptop)
