Re: Gharida Exclusive Show:Pindi-Islamabad Metro starting
Once your ancestors said the same thing for former East Pakistan. Pakistan broke into two. How many more parts do you want Pakistan to break away?
You mentioned only Sindh, so you accept loot coming from Baluchistan is spent on such projects in Punjab.
Re: Gharida Exclusive Show:Pindi-Islamabad Metro starting
Definitely not much is given back to provinces, not much development work in areas from where oil/gas is taken, there is a reason people in Baluchistan and Sindh have problems with Punjab.
Re: Gharida Exclusive Show:Pindi-Islamabad Metro starting
Baluchistan issue is genuine. Sindhis are driven by nationalists racists.
Re: Gharida Exclusive Show:Pindi-Islamabad Metro starting
So is doing sindh with Baluchistan. Shame on you for not accepting that all provinces are guilty of that.
It was racist bhutto who scorned Bengali people.
Re: Gharida Exclusive Show:Pindi-Islamabad Metro starting
The truth of the matter is, KPK and Punjab had given all parties (belonging to different centres) a chance, regardless of their ethnic background. Tell Sindhis to get the heart to elect a non Sindhi first and then talk about racism and ethnic bigotry.
Electronic media has changed a lot of things in Pakistan. These racists Sindhi feudal Lords cannot come to Punjab, beg for Punjabis’ votes and then go back to Sindh and start spewing xenophobic venom against Punjabis to cover their own crimes against their own people. The whole Punjab listened to that vile speech of Zardari and his son where they blamed the ‘Punjabi establishment’ for losing the election after five years of loot and plunder and vile incompetence. Now look how PPP is being wiped out of Punjab because the locals have realised the racist agenda of that backward feudal party. It was Punjab that repeatedly elected your Sindhi Feudal Kings and Queens you morons.
Re: Gharida Exclusive Show:Pindi-Islamabad Metro starting
Hain, what are you talking about? I dont play province cards nor blame any single race for anything but not sure how many Baluchis you talk to about their province. They clearly blame Punjab for hijacking their resources without giving them any proper share, a gilmpse of which I personally saw in my visit to Quetta.
Re: Gharida Exclusive Show:Pindi-Islamabad Metro starting
It is also Punjabis fault that Balochi Sardars and Sindhi wadera send their sons to Oxfbridge to study but their subjects are systemically kept illiterate! Fearing that might stand up for their rights.
It works in feudal favour to play the pathetic race card, keep xenophobic paranoia on high so the locals are always hating and blaming the ‘outsiders’, but never ask their feudal lords for justice and rights.
PS: Punjab based oligarchs sucking Punjab’s and other provinces’ resources is a serious issue but people who defend the same Punjabi looters and plunderers when it suits their agenda should the last people to blame the entire ethnicity so mindlessly.
Re: Gharida Exclusive Show:Pindi-Islamabad Metro starting
Sindhis and baluchis want ownership not royalty. In other words free from state. Not sure paksitan should split or not but I do have feeling that aakhir kab tak.
Punjab bashing is fashion. All this works through federation. And PPP remained in power multiple times but did nothing for their own province to address for what they start blaming Punjab right after getting off the power chair.
Re: Gharida Exclusive Show:Pindi-Islamabad Metro starting
Well as a party PPP has to take the blame, im not sure why are they afraid to do that.
And why go far, just see thar. PPP has been in power since 2008 in this province. In 7 yrs you can change the fate of any area not yet thar.
Another example is Lyari, Karachi. You know PPP has been winning the seat of Lyari since freaking 1970. Everytime when needed anything people of Lyari gave it to them. But guess wut PPP gave in return? Its the most poor and deprived area of Karachi torn apart by drug smugglers and gangers. It produced great soccer players and boxers but even that talent is now getting banished.
So what you said about PPP is right but it doesnt fix the complaints that other provinces have against Punjab.
You know its like more like a story of a home where one brother says i’m not getting enough while other brothers are having more. To keep everything together the brothers talk it out and agree upon something that fixes the home and stays everything together. Thats what exactly is needed right now otherwise Baluchistan situation can very easily go out of hand.

There are news circulating about proven corrupt Ephedrine smuggler Hanif Abbasi doing Rs 2 Billion corruption and has bought a property in London recently. This man was appointed head of this project after being found involved in Ephedrine case, this alone is criminal let alone corruption.

ISLAMABAD: ** On May 5, 2013, addressing a gathering at Aabpara Chowk as part of the general elections campaign, Nawaz Sharif had announced that if his party was voted to power, it would ‘gift’ residents of the twin cities with a state-of-the-art mass transit system like the Lahore Metro Bus Service.
Today, the prime minister will inaugurate the over Rs45 billion Rawalpindi-Islamabad Metro Bus Project at the Jinnah Convention Centre. Parliamentarians, federal ministers and envoys have been invited by the chief minister of Punjab to witness the ceremony.

According to the schedule available at the time of filing, once the ceremony concludes, the premier along with selected individuals will head for Pak Secretariat where he would unveil the metro bus and take a ride along Jinnah Avenue.
The dignitaries who would accompany Sharif on the bus have been issued tickets along with the invitation cards.
Special lighting arrangements have been made along the metro corridor and spot lights have been fixed underneath trees along Jinnah Avenue. Debris and other construction material alongside the corridor have also been removed.
**
A tale of delays**
Construction on the ’mega’ project began on February 28, 2014. The first completion date released by the Punjab government was mid-February this year. However, it was said the work was hampered due to the sit-ins by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and Pakistan Awami Tehreek and later the torrential rains that descended on the twin cities.
On a recent visit, the Punjab chief minister said approximately 11 per cent [of the total cost of the project] price was escalated due to these sit-ins.
Chief engineer of the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) Saeed Akhtar told The Express Tribune that RDA was currently calculating the damages caused due to those protests. He said the cost remains the same but the contractors have claimed damages which is why the price has gone up.
**
Environmental concerns**
On March 14, 2014, the Supreme Court Chief Justice took suo motu notice on an application of Senator Mushahid Hussain about adverse impacts of the project in terms of environmental degradation.
The court was assured that the ‘green character’ of Islamabad damaged due to the project will be restored and sufficient funds will be made available for the purpose.
http://i1.tribune.com.pk/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/map.jpg
Some 759 fully grown and decades-old trees, 3,773 small trees and several shrubs were cut down as they were falling in the alignment of the bus route. Additionally, 5,526 ground covers and small bushes were also removed.
According to the Capital Development Authority, the project posed a ‘short-term negative environmental impact’ in terms of loss of green cover, air, dust and noise pollution, and improper dumping of excavated material.
To cover this damage, a contract of Rs324 million was given to a firm owned by the brother of a federal minister for horticulture work.
However, on site, only ornamental plants have been planted and the work, according to the CDA, is faulty and not in accordance with the environment of Islamabad.
Dr Qamar Zaman Chaudhry, the former head of the Pakistan Environmental Protection Agency, said in the past he and other environmentalists was briefed about a phase-wise plan to recover the environmental damages caused by the project.
“Development has a cost. But it should not be to an extent that it becomes unbearable,” Chaudhary said. He added that the government’s plan of environmental rehabilitation was “satisfactory” but there was a dire need to give it as much attention as was given to the construction of the project.

On the other hand, CDA Member Environment Mustafain Kazmi said the authority was focusing on plantation alongside the metro corridor. He said damages could not be recovered in days or months and will take consistent efforts.
