As I said before seems like very weak argument, there can be no reason for an ayat to precede to tell people that Ali RA is a friend, an ayat to announce the obvious? Hadrat Umar and Abu Bakar RA congratulated Hadrat Ali and when Hadrat Ali wrote to Muawiyah he mentioned being appointed leader at Ghadeer Khum

So do we have any ambiguity here?

من كنت مولاه فعلي مولاه، اللهمّ وال من والاه , و عاد من عاداه
Of whomsoever I am a master, Ali is his master. My Lord! Befriend anyone who befriends him and make enmity towards anyone who makes enmity towards him.
When the Holy Prophet`s speech ended on Ghadir Day and those who were present paid allegiance to Ali (A) as the commander of the faithful, the following verse was revealed:
اليوم اكملت لكم دينكم و اتممت عليكم نعمتي و رضيت لكم الإسلام دينا
Today I have perfected your religion for you and finished my bounty upon you and have chosen Islam for you as religion. [Al-Kafi, vol. 8, p. 27]

So we as sunnis say it is not leader but friend, just sounds like an unintended spin on word. Preceding events all point to succession.

you just persisting that context was master and not friend. not sure where is argument beside your persistence.

Anyway let’s say the context was master, what is the solution?

Who has to do more to make it peaceful, shia or sunni?
