You can get married on Eid day. Many South Asians resist holding weddings in the first 10 days of Muharram out of respect to their Shia friends who observe a period of mourning. We go out of our way to ensure all our friends, sunni or shia, can attend major life events.

on the 10th Day: Nation of Nuh [PBUH] was destroyed
on the 10th Day: Nation of Moses [PBUH] was destroyed
I do not recall(100%) if other Nations were destroyed on the same day or not. But 10th of Muharam Marks the Day of Perished Nations. Thats why PBUH kept Fast during this day.

^ it is considered the best day of the whole year (due to above reasons), so why not get married on that day.

Those saying it may not be good or forbidden to get married a specific day, please provide evidence from Quran and Sunnah instructing Muslims from getting married on certain days.

I've heard k its gud to get married in the month of Shawwal..after eid-ul-fitr...and yeah 10th day of muharram is a really gud day to get married..infact my bro has planned that he'll get his nikah done on 10th muharram!
