The Internaltion License issued by AAA does not have 'Pakistan' as one of the country

K-2 no problem u've got a US Driving Licence phir kia tension hai ...
hamein dekho .. yahin rehte hein aur abhi tak License hi nahin banwaya ..

bus jab bhi white uniform dekho us se dur dur gari chalao .. kabhi nahin pakre jao ge ...

Guys lets not bad mouth Pakistan too much.
Agreed there are problems of all kinds and traffic on the roads is horrible but then we are judging it from a distance,living here in the West.
Pakistani traffic didn't look so bad to me before I moved to the US.

On my recent visit,I noticed a marked change in Rawalpindi Traffic Police.Smartly dressed clean guys were seen on the roads.They pulled my wife over and spoke very politely.When I told then I am on vacations and it was my mistake we left our license at home,he let us go after issuing a soft verbal warning which was anything but the like we are used to.

They are working hard to improve things and road traffic is one of the issues the government is tackling.NADRA is issuing new digital driver's licenses and the newly introduced road tests,however hard they may be they are are a new requirement while previously there was none.
People still drive without a license but they do so at their own risk.If caught,they face a heavy fine.

if you going for few weeks, legally international license - which is permit issued under some geneva convention and Pakistan is signitary to that, international icense issued from Pakistan is also valid in countries in the world for a period of 6months to 1 year.

other countries license are not valid in Pakistan as Pakistan has no EU type arrangements with other countries, however police may or may not let you go easily.

international licenses are issued from the home countries where you have your normal license.

I have been to Pakistan for more than 6 weeks, but I has Pakistani license from 90's and Uk license both so didnt have problem, but i wasnt pulled over at all. last time i was and for UK license policeman smiled and said this is UK license not valid here, though he let me go.

for fit into culture, i had to switch to my to my old Pakistani mode driving a week after landing in Pakistan, only relevant driving I found peacefull as here was only on Motorways there.
