I’m Doing a school paper, Can anyone tell me a good subject for a controversy in Germany that would relate to USA. I have to give a persuasive speech about the subject.

Hmm. One would be the pursuit of Nazi war criminals that now live in the USA, but were in Germany (obviously) during WWII.

I dont know if you'd like to do this though, its very controversial and I dont know your audience.

Gerhard Schroder's defiance of U.S plans to attack Iraq. Well, that created some controversy .... but not exactly in Germany. However, you can say that the U.S decision to attack did raise the temperature in Germany and other European states. Umm, wonder whether it helps.

Why don't you give us a persuasive speech as to why we should help you first?? :)

Anyway.. if you don't have to deal with modern America you could talk about the Reformation and its influence on early religious settlers in America.
