thanks Arjay Uncle for your response. I am surprised to hear that you agreed with Iqbal Ansari and Haseeb Hasan's philosophy after raising the same question. Also surprised to see that Iqbal Ansari who has given us some wonderful work in the past would present such a one-sided picture of his own kind ;-) Alas I was hoping for a different response.
**Yanzala - it's not Arjay Uncle's fault that the girls are shown to be in full fashion/make up/jewelry when their daddy is shown to be completely broke. He's just playing a role that he was offered by the producers. **
I just don't like it when as a viewer I am thought of as being easily fooled. I just wish that these plays did not insult my intelligence.
Did I ? Bibi I just narrated to you what they said..!
Now...the matter in BLUE (sorry I avoid pseudonyms...:()...was posed on Haseeb Hasan last night *(by the way we are now on another project of GEO to be directed by Haseeb in London and Manchester from April...) who gave me a rather worthwhile thought....said he "Dekhein Raju Bhai....GS forum pe ye sawall bohat accha hai ke agarr baap retired aur ghareeb hai tou betiyaan itne lavish ya high priced kapraay kiyon pehan rahee hein aur kaisay?...Sawal bohat hee aala hai....magarr audience/viewers ko aik baat ka ehsaas hona chahiye aur ye haqeeqat hai...ke.. DRAMA ....D.R.A.M.A hota hai....aap uss mein absolute haqeeqat ya reality close to the truths of real life being depicted or DRAMATIZED...kabhi bhi nahin dhaal sakte. There has to be COLOR even in the most destitute situations being portrayed. Yaqeen karen...agarr hum Tooba, Aisha, Tehreem aur Saadiya ko mamooli kapraay pehenwatay...tou ghalib'unn... audience ya viewers itnay attract nahin hotay....aur shayad ye serial bh. Its SURREALISM what we normally adopt when such situations are shown"***
I agree with Haseeb.....!
