Talking about solidarity , we don't even have a GS banner that could say we support innocents in Palestine . Or stop genocide .
It's a good idea. I would support such a move.

Re: Gaza Under attack
The US and the UK are nothing but rubber stamps for Israel. Be it humanity, morality justice or statesmanship, everything lays dead at the doorstep of Israeli barbarism. Obama and Cameron, just like their predecessors, are serving wholeheartedly the masters who hold their strings. The UN, on the other hand, is nothing more than the wreckage of its founding principles and promises.
I truly wish the US and the UK one day pay for their roles in the bloodbath of innocent Palestinians.

Baroness Warsi has effectively admitted that the problem is the policies and not the window dressing of these policies. She stated that these policies are not in our national interest, which leads to the question whose interest are we trying to serve? Zionists?

Re: Gaza Under attack
Exciting. So far Israel has agreed to 4 of the Palestinian demands and rejected 3.
Accepted
1. End the offensive on Gaza (easy to concede, Israel already did)
2. Lifting the land blockade (HUGE deal, will boost Hamas's popularity by producing a solid result from all of the deaths)
3) Granting fishing rights up to 12 miles offshore from Gaza , instead of 3 miles. (Will turn the Gaza fishing community into solid Hamas supporters)
4) Releasing Palestinian prisoners (easy to concede, this refers to palestinians released in exchange for Gilad Shalit who were rearrested during the current offensive)
Rejected
1) Re-opening the Gaza Airport
2) Creating a sea port in Gaza
3) Creating a guaranteed connection between Gaza and the West Bank.
All in all, the 4 accepted points will allow Hamas to claim victory in the war. Israel has yet again chosen to reject working with peaceful parties and only make concessions to men of war. All these deaths could have been avoided if Israel made these concessions to the Palestinian Authority at the peace table instead of to Hamas over the blood of children.

^ What are the demands of Israel that Hamas has agreed to accept?

Why does Israel have problem with Gaza and West Bank (Hamas/PLO) working together?
Re: Gaza Under attack
^ Divide and rule.
Re: Gaza Under attack
Why does Israel have problem with Gaza and West Bank (Hamas/PLO) working together?
Israel wants to deal only with the PLO as the representatives of the Palestinians because the PLO, under the 1992 Oslo accords, recognises Israel's right to exist and renounced the use of violence against Israel. The Oslo accords committed to a final end to armed struggle in exchange for a diplomatic settlement.
A PLO/Hamas unity government includes parties that do not agree to either of these conditions, it it effectively undoes the Oslo agreement.
Of course, Oslo is already dead in the water since settlement expansion was not supposed to happen under it.

Ahead of its summer recess the US Congress has rushed through a $225m (£134m, €167.5m) donation to help upgrade Israel’s ‘Iron Dome’ missile defence system, which has shot downdozens** of Hamas rockets in the last three weeks.**

The bill must now be authorised by President Obama, who in recent days has been unusually critical of Israel’s actions which have killed and maimed huge numbers of Palestinian civilians, including hundreds of children. The Iron Dome system relies on advanced technology to calculate the trajectory of incoming missiles fired by Hamas and other groups from Gaza. If headed for urban areas the missiles are blasted out of the sky with short-range rockets, each costing around $100,000.**
U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry has been criticised in Israel for being "pro-Hamas"Reuters

Some of the money will go to Raytheon, a US-based defence contractor which manufactures****components for the system, credited with saving many Israeli lives.
Officials in Israel claim the system has a success rate of 90%. Today three rockets were fired towards Tel Aviv, two of which were shot down. The third apparently caused little damage.
Relations between the US and Israel have been unusually cool in recent weeks, with some Israeli commentators criticising US secretary of state John Kerry for seeming to engage with Hamas and making sarcastic comments about Israel’s military actions. Israeli government officials are quoted as saying that Kerry was “completely capitulating” to Hamas.

In a sign the US may be softening their attitude to Israel, President Obama has condemned the “abduction****” of soldier Hadar Goldin, 23, by Hamas militants.“We have and I have unequivocally condemnedHamas and the Palestinian factions that were responsible for killing two Israeli soldiers and kidnapped a third,” said Obama. "If they are serious about trying to resolve this situation that soldier needs to be unconditionally released as soon as possible."Hamas deny they are holding Goldin. In a statement Hamas’s armed wing, the Qassam Brigades, said they had lost contact**** with some of their own fighters during the operation. “We believe they were all killed in the bombardment (by the IDF). Assuming that they (Hamas soldiers) managed to seize the soldier during combat, we assess that he was also killed in the incident.”**

That would have made sense if they were not hell-bent on genocidal murder of as many natives as possible.

Even a blind person knows that the resistance has achieved victory, not due to the demands being accepted but due to the failure of Israeli operation. After the failure of the operation some agreement had to be reached to avoid attrition. The demands are the ones that have been accepted, that ones that haven't been accepted are just red herring so that Israel can save face. The whole population stood firmly behind the resistance. There was no dissent.

Real powers take what they want through force. Diplomatic settlement will never work in this case. This is an area that has bled from the beginning of time.
The only problem today is the Muslim world has turned its back on Palestine and Palestinians...This slaughter was bound to happen every time.

What will it take for the World Leaders to start to press and suppress Israeli mad dog policies in the middle east? This question is perhaps more urgent to the Kings, Presidents, PMs of the majority muslim countries.
