What i have seen in most "followers" of religion is , they are always on the defense mode. Whether its a "true" christian, a "true" muslim, a "true" jew, a "true" hindu... the religion seems to add to a person's blindness... his intolerance. I say if you want to truly believe in God you would have to leave a possibilty that he doesnt exist. If you want to get to the truth you would have to keep an open mind. May be God exist .. may be he doesnt... if u have that mentality only then can you get to the higher truth. Following somthing blindly and going all defense at somthing that may remotely be critical of your faith is simply not the way to go.

following religion blindly is wrong i agree, when ure living in the western societies u do tend to q the why's and hows of things but i guess it clears any doubts in your mind and makes ure faith stronger in what u believe in bcos its coming from ureself not from anyone else :)
