u know what degrades women.. boybands and singers liek briteny spears..

hiphop is poetry in its truest form.. it does not involve screaming and hiding behind loud guitars and saying one word a hundred times like rock music..

hiphop demonstrates an artist’s true lyrical and presentative skills…

How do you explain why the women from Spelman college, a predominantly black college in Atlanta, got together and protested when Nelly was scheduled to perform there? How do you explain the disgusting lyrics of hte rappers and the behavior of those “video hoes” who run around in thongs rubbing up on any blockhead who claims to have gotten shot 9 times and has a bucket of money?

Boybands/britney spears do not degrade, at least not on the same level as hip hop. They’re annoying, but not reallyharmful. Good, decent music doens’t involve hiding behind gratuitious violence and filth, or spewing profanities after every other word.

I dn’t listen to the radio since it’s competely dominated by rap. :o
