Any more takers? I think we need some more computer scientists since computer science is in everything we do. Please take part and explain to kids about computer science.

No no Joel.
The goal here is not to make everyone a coder, (although that would be cool) it's to be able to get everyone to be able to speak the language and understand the basic concepts. The same reason we teach Biology, Chemistry and Physics, not that we expect everyone to become a Biologist, but that we want people to be able to talk intelligently about the subject

True but there a lot of people who don't even go near computer science thinking its boring and difficult. Once you know it a little its a lot of fun.

^^Nope. Those are windows at home.....2 clicks and they are opened..... :D

In Windows 95 (and early 98) it would come up and ask for a password (if you configured it to) but you could hit the Escape key and it would let you in anyway :hehe:

I’m going to have my 10 year old look into this! He’s been doing the intro to programming and coding tutorials on khan academy :blush:

Oh wow, that's wonderful. If he spends any significant time on those sites this page would be a step back for him.
Show him this portion off GS, maybe we can answer his questions if he has any, maybe.

Thanks Tofi, I will! He's really liking it! So far he's learned simple drawing, color and shapes/techniques. Now he's moving on to the animation tutorials.

I want him to start the Java tutorials too. I'll definitely post any questions on his behalf here!
