Re: Game 34 - Bangladesh vs South Africa, April 7th 2007

They have given up during Ashraful's knock. I could see.

Re: Game 34 - Bangladesh vs South Africa, April 7th 2007

…and remember I called it early (even while the Proteas is my team!).

Re: Game 34 - Bangladesh vs South Africa, April 7th 2007

i agree
i dont know why SA are considered chokers...just a dumb stereotype...
were they chokers when they chased down 434 against aussies

Re: Game 34 - Bangladesh vs South Africa, April 7th 2007

how many times that bolded thing happpened and how many times, they choked at the end of the tournament :hehe:???

Re: Game 34 - Bangladesh vs South Africa, April 7th 2007

Correct. Unfortunately SA will be called "chokers" EVERYTIME they lose, even if the credit should go to the other team. All the times they put one over on their opposition with a much superior display will always be ignored.

Re: Game 34 - Bangladesh vs South Africa, April 7th 2007

Credit goes to BD. You can feel the energy in the field. Very young team (avg. 23 years) has done very well in the WC. Hope that future is really bright for them

Re: Game 34 - Bangladesh vs South Africa, April 7th 2007

Interestingly on both occasions against Australia (a hundred) and SA (87) today, Mohammad Ashraful top scored for Bangladesh

Re: Game 34 - Bangladesh vs South Africa, April 7th 2007

Old Man: You have a valid point. But you need to acknwoledge that they took this match lightly. They rested their best at death bowler in Andrew Hall. They lacked the passion today and even at the end, they were NOT trying to score?? whats up with that?????

Yes chokers tag shouldnt come up everytime but it sadly will :)

Re: Game 34 - Bangladesh vs South Africa, April 7th 2007

they got the choker tag because they lost in wc and it got glorified and hyped up by media and people like you jumping on the bandwagon. its happened to other teams, but it doesn’t come up every match they play

Re: Game 34 - Bangladesh vs South Africa, April 7th 2007

I see.

They choked when they needed 22 of 1 ball.
They choked when the selectors left out Donald and rather played Adams against WI.
They choked when there was confusion between Donald and Klusener of last 2 balls even if the umpire did not see the no-ball.
They choked when they miscalculated the DL during the last WC against Sl.

Stupid reasoning…

Re: Game 34 - Bangladesh vs South Africa, April 7th 2007

Another one gone.

Re: Game 34 - Bangladesh vs South Africa, April 7th 2007

9 down

Re: Game 34 - Bangladesh vs South Africa, April 7th 2007

Yes, that's why I called the upset from the start. It was a typical arrangement and just needed for RSA to perform as required. Anyway....

Re: Game 34 - Bangladesh vs South Africa, April 7th 2007

9 down , one to go!

Re: Game 34 - Bangladesh vs South Africa, April 7th 2007

Old man take heart, If Pakistan had been in SA shoes the whole of GS would have been full of one thing: Match is fixed.

Re: Game 34 - Bangladesh vs South Africa, April 7th 2007

Saby i dont think they took this game lightly, i personally think that Ashraful played brilliently and no matter who it was would have gotten smacked the same way as the SA bowlers and its his charge tht took the momentum away from SA.
