Re: Game 34 - Bangladesh vs South Africa, April 7th 2007
Right now you are struggling hard to figure out who you hate most
India
Bangladesh OR
Ireland
None :) It will be too dangerous to hate anyone from the east on this forum.
I just have a problem with everyone lamenting for the "minnows" being in the second round rather than India and Pakistan. The "minnows" took their chances and played with more conviction on the day. I support Bangladesh and Ireland because of that. I also are apprehensive for them to cause even bigger upsets by beating some of the other major super 8 teams. If the matches are reduced to 20/20's, it becomes even more probable for them to beat some of these teams. If they do, they would deserve it and the team that lost did not focus on the day.
South Africa has a Boer playing for Ireland (Andre Botha), Woolmer had a stint with them, as also Hansie Cronje. I enjoy their enthusiasm when they play.
Bangladesh (first time I really saw them live) has impressed me and I believe it will not take long for them to be an even stronger force in future. I just hope South Africa does not underestimate them on Saturday.
India, oh well..... Some of the worlds best players but they just don't perform. It was proposed in a newspaper this week that betting should be declared legal in India. It will force out all the illegal ones and, hopefully, rid the game of many problems if all is done in the open.

Crappy kaptaani by Smith...
I mean there are 15 overs left. He has front line bowlers who have more than adequate number of overs left in their quota...and he still brings on KEMP.
I also don't know why he even brought in himself in the middle overs.
