they dont control kabul, they are a nuisance though. so stop saying stupid things like “taliban are stronger than ever today.”

and they will have to be included in whatever setup is to be in place - principally because they have the support of the tribal pashtuns - just like across the durand line in pakistan. the US is probably thinking of something like a FATA-like arrangement where the rest of the country can hand onto a civil society while the talibans delay their next bunch of decrepitude for a few years.

By calling a point stupid doesn’t make it look like what you’re saying is anything remotely smart. Aren’t you just contradicting yourself, Taliban are getting included in every decision so how on earth can you say their power has diminished and they’ve been rooted? They still hold the pass to power and influence and it’s common sense to suggest it’s matter of time before they take the full control because they didn’t go anywhere, they are still part of every system, process and procedure that’s being taken in Afghanistan. However, the US is just desperate to keep them pacified for a while, or at least hope so. It’s like going into Germany, not defeating Hitler and just foolishly hoping that he doesn’t do anything silly for a time being, while he’s still part of the system.
