they did go somewhere. aka. across the border to quetta and karachi to live with their benefactors and guardians. their shariah rule was dismantled. the afghan national football team has once again resumed playing, and almost won a major event. so did their cricket team. afghans actually have jobs in telecom and banking.

question is, who will stop these taliban from coming back without a system of checks and balances in place.

Trillions of dollors and millions of lives wasted just so a country can have a football team?

Taliban are sitting on every table that concerns Afghan deal, they’re allowed to open offices, they still virtually control Kabul and still causing violence and already defeatist US is warning that Taliban are on a verge of a complete takeover so I wonder were they ever defeated and taken out to begin with? The wheel is about to come full cycle and it doesn’t sound like victory.

If US with high tech sophisticated weaponry, man power and over a decade time period cannot get rid of Taliban than perhaps no can can or will. The USA can stay there for another decade if they like and serve humanity.
