Maybe I’m weird but I think the “Indian” thing is taken a bit too seriously..** People all over the world are influenced by the styles of those in other countries**.. Having Bengali blood I’m used to the shorter Indian style tops already but I’m open to any style if I personally think it looks nice on me..

I’ve noticed that a lot of Indians also seem fond of the longer, flowy and more covered-up Pakistani looks too..

I believe each country should keep a good percentage of their own culture in terms of dressing. Being inspired by other countries could be changing the prints of kameez and shapes of shalwar and pajama or even the material used.

In Pakistan, the dupatta has lost its value in the traditional outfit. Most gown style clothes do not require a dupatta. It is funny how there are ‘dress up of desi style’ day in Pakistan colleges. It is like the UK adopting pakistani clothes and then you have these random ‘dress up in pant shirt’ day.
