The problem with numbering wars is that everyone things there will be another one. Anyways, I don't think there will be a Third World War. The world is being run by corporations and people are too stupid to realize that their cultures, values, religion and ethics are all being destroyed.
The war being waged is all the more sad because these corporations believe in sheer capitalism and thus a society where there will be big winners and big losers. These alliances cross religious and ethnic lines. "Globalization" is a good thing to some extent; I do believe that we tend to rely too much on government to solve our problems. If private citizens began acting, eventually government responds (see India).
