I really don't mean any disdain or disrespect but this answer made me laugh! particularly when I imagined a chinese farmer trying to read Urdu or Hindi or Punjabi label taht says "label made in Karachi, dress made in PRC"! you've heard of Made in USA right? (Ullasnagar Sindhi Association)
Pakistan's economic recovery rests upon one thing and one thing only...literacy of the Pakistani population.

Mo,
It depends on LAW AND ORDER. Once, it gets fixed, Economy will recover itself!

ITs funny, what is the law and order problem anywayz. Will I get shot down if I step outside my house in Pakistan LOL. PT, corruption, confrontations with India, dictatorship, sanctions are the things causing these economic problems, not some bandits or criminals.
You mean the army personell taking care of Wapda eh? Good ol uncle Mush wouldnt allow that.

It is not literacy, it is the relation of Pakistani population with America and Europe.
Look at Cuba they've got a good literacy rate but, economy...
I agree with moona.
But for a sound economy or life, you first need health to workout things. To acheive health, you need learnings(education).
To achieve a higher literacy rate, you need money, time and effort. But courage and willingness in our case are more important.
When we have achieved the above, we are already on a good path to manage our economy and our lives in a better way.
Its frightening to know that only 24% of Pakistani salt is iodized. A non-iodized salt greatly diminishes the learing ability of childeren. :(
