Ummmm, medical related visits aren't voluntary so they can't even be compared to having a full body wax!
Being hairless is a CHOICE....it's not killing your health and by religious guidelines, its not even mandatory to be completely hairless, just to trim the hair every 40 days.
very good sawal
I dont think any mulla can ever fatwa it haram , Waxing is like making ur self presentable to your husband and its got to be pakka wala halal . I need to speak to some moderate mulla n get a fatwa for girls u know :halo:
Two easy solutions for this silly problem.
1. go to a non muslim for waxing. islamic laws dont apply to them
2. go to different waxing person for different parts of your body. that way you wont be full naked in front of same person...
The actual answer to this can be found in the medical circles. They never reveal the whole body at the same time. Most things of cosmetic nature can be done by others, but I would expect the ruling for showing the privates to anyone other than the hubby for any reason outside a major health or life threatening situation would not be deemed as acceptable by the majority of the orthodox scholars.
Because the question will be asked ..."can it be done by yourself?"
It is common knowledge-or at least I thought it was- that the area between the navel and knees is awrah and should not be exposed to anyone unless absolutely neccessary. Medical reasons are a neccessity. Waxing is not. You can wax yourself.
And Allah knows best.
