From Salahuddin Ayyubi To the Muslim Ummah

Re: From Salahuddin Ayyubi To the Muslim Ummah

It is better to be a mo***n rather than to be a person who wallows in self pity and yearns for the good old days. It is time for introspection and understand that Islam has stood still for quite a few years. There have been no technical innovations or discoveries that are forthcoming from the Islamic world. Only bearded mattoos who go around asking their followers to kill the infidels.

Do you really realize that antiobl simply used movie about Gandhi as an example or did your blood pressure just shot up as you saw “**** ** **** saying the movie Gandhi ********* ******* *** *******” and thought that he is insulting Gandhi?

Re: From Salahuddin Ayyubi To the Muslim Ummah

I would suggest all, who are confused about the battles in the times of Prophet :saw: being defensive or offensive to read a book that won the 1 st prize.

Excellent book on the biography of the Prophet :saw:

Al-Raheeq-Al-Makhtoom

(The sealed Nectar) by Safi-ur-Rehman Mubarakpuri.

Re: From Salahuddin Ayyubi To the Muslim Ummah

Assalam-o-alaikum to everyone
My first post in this forum
My question regarding Salahuddin Ayubi he executed the knight Templers and Hosptillars after capturing them at Hattin. That was supposedly in retaliation for the massacre of muslims in Jerusalam.Could anyone please give their views whether such a action was justified under islamic laws, considering so much emphasis is placed on the good treatment of PoWs.
Thank you

Re: From Salahuddin Ayyubi To the Muslim Ummah

Can’t you just stop spewing stupidity. Did you even read my full comment about his novels. You seem to have picked on one sentence and comment on it out of its context.
I guess you have not read anything from Nasim Hijazi. Also, I guess you do not know Muslim History, nor you have tried to know it. Your comment shows this. Just one comment about Nasim Hijazi’s novels. His novels are recommended by even Dr. Abdul Qadir Khan and Molana Moududi ALIKE.

Re: From Salahuddin Ayyubi To the Muslim Ummah

There must have been some reason for that. Otherwise, he did not harm any Church and let all the non-muslims practice their faith the way they wanted. Can you please tell me the source of this question? Where did you hear this. Even it it is a website, let me know the link, or if a book, tell me the name and answer. I’ll find an answer for you.
Thanks

Re: From Salahuddin Ayyubi To the Muslim Ummah

Yup, I agree with you and we never even bothered to know why did we loose it. That is even more sad.
Just look at this topic and the direction it is going. It shows how much we concentrate on different issues.

I sincerely believe that the Movie was a factual representation with minor deviations. It is very easy for people to subtley insult a person (you should read his posts on gandhi) and get away with it. As a person, I am proud of Gandhiji principles of non-violence and satyagraha.

Lahore 981,

thanks for your interest the story seems to be that the common christian soldiers and civilians were spared no harm done to the places of worship. But the knight orders were dealt with extremely harshly

here is a link look at aftermath and the references below

Re: From Salahuddin Ayyubi To the Muslim Ummah

Dunno about that…

As you said, the Battle of Badr was initiated after an attempt by the Muslims to intecept a Quraish Caravan that was going to cross their territory into Mecca, which was returning from a trip to Syria. Keep in mind, the Quraish at this point were openly hostile to Muslims.

300 Men were dispatched to merely overpower the Caravan, but as it turns the Caravan escaped and Abu Sufyan sent out word for protection. 1000 well equipped men from the enemy camp were dispatched, with clear intent to eliminate the Muslim army, and perhaps even all Muslims. The response to the Muslim raid (at best) was an invasion.

On the part of Muslims, the intent was not to invade enemy lands but to intercept an enemy Caravan wandering through it’s territory…the enemy used the occasion to launch a full-scale strike.

Whatever your take, the Muslims were on the defensive, not the offensive. They were outnumbered, and in general outmatched (in terms of equipment and suplies). Rather than back down (retreat was an option), they met the challenge…

Re: From Salahuddin Ayyubi To the Muslim Ummah

What’s the source of this letter. I checked out a couple and they reference the same site. But the original posting / book / doesn’t show up anywhere.

If the reference can’t be confirmed, this may be a chain letter being circulated by well-wishing but ignorant folks.

p.s. Muslim Ammah is the most abused term in the Arab land. Everyone talks about it and still ready to kill the Ammah at their first opportunity.

Re: From Salahuddin Ayyubi To the Muslim Ummah

Very True,we must remember that the state of war was declared by Quresh and abu sufyan against Islam long before Badr.Raiding a enemy caravan was an accepted practice in war at that time that does not mean muslims were on the OFFENSIVE.The Aggressor is the one that begins the hostilities and that was the kuffar of Mecca.Starting a battle is different from starting a war.
