You know my nana marhoom was the type of person who one may call a mullah, beard, topi, ba jamat namaz at the masjid for every prayer...headmaster of grandfolks school in Karachi, a lifetime supporter of Jamaat e islaami, and even he gave up on them in the late 70s early 80s. his disappointment was that when JI went into politics and strayed from doing its service work, it lost its soul.
I can draw parallel to my late Dadaa jaan and my father as we speak as well.
