Besides the major excuse of male dominated society that Eve tempted Adam to eat forbidden fruit, following are some more superstitions about Friday:
(1) births, weddings, beginning of a new job, sailing of ship, moving house considered bad. Titanic is reported to start her journey on Friday, 13th 
(2) In cultures like Hungary, a person born on Friday is considered unlucky and to remove this bad luck, they drop some blood drops of such person on his / her old cloth and burn it
(3) Burglars believe that robbery committed on Fridays is rarely successful (Good for others) 
(4) To be brought to trial on Fridays is also ill-omen
(5) In America and England, it was customs to hang criminals on Fridays and therefore it earned reputation of ‘Hangman’s Day’
