Ya I do the same for dhania, only I dont wash it before putting it in the paper towel.
Actually I do the paper thing with some other fruits too, so it absorbs the moisture. Like grapes, strawberries. Because I think its the moisture that makes them rot quickly??
For knowing when to throw vegetables out, I think their appearance will usually reveal their state, whether they have gone bad or not. Like for a tomato, if you see its gone all mushy on the outside and has blotches etc. A general rule they say is, when in doubt, throw it out!
