Free Omar because he was roughed up on the battlefield? Good treatment is another issue. Didn’t he know he was committing treason by fighting against America & NATO by being a Canadian citizen fighting alongside the Taliban? I know he is a kid but so are a lot of kids who commit murder and screw up the rest of their lives…

I have nothing against justice being done. But just as there are rules to war, so are there rules to govern how a prisoner of war should be treated.

Are you suggesting that his treatment is justified due to his crimes?
