Let’s not start apologising for mindless fascism. This ductile apologia is no different from terrorists or their apologists who want the innocent majority to pay the heaviest price for insane actions of few. Your post reminds me of fanatics who simply shrug their shoulders and say 'well if West doesn’t stop carpet bombing our countries, expect few more London buses being blown off. Enough of this toxic attitude, right?

Many people don’t want to acknowledge and understand this but Muslims themselves are the biggest victims of prolonged terrorism as well as growing Islamophobia (which seems to be attracting apologists at an alarming rate). But if the big, mighty all tolerant, freedom and human rights loving West (especially all saintly USA) want expel, prosecute and ban innocent Muslims, then fine. Go ahead and do that, but before they do that, they need to stop hating the Nazis and painting them as bad guys.

I am stating an apprehension - not supporting the statement from the Fox news host. So pls spare me the “Muslims are the biggest victims of terrorism” line. The terrorism is not coming from the outside - its coming from within Islam, and its Muslims who need to take steps to stop it. Blaming USA, Israel, West for everything is a nice way to avoid taking responsibility for the rot within.

Don’t hide your apology for knee jerk fascism behind ‘Muslims need to take responsibility’ card. You sounded exactly like one of those terrorists who love to warn innocent majority of harsh consequences for the actions of tiny minority, and think their toxic attitude is perfectly justified.

Of course Einstein, Muslims need to deal with the beyond rotten egg from within and the growing number of Islamophobic sociopaths. I was just highlighting how important is it to be in the middle when you know absolute nutcases are guarding both ends of the spectrum, if you know what I mean?

It just takes one person to broadcast an evil suggestion before others catch on and start advocating it as well. The rounding up of the Japanese? History tends to repeat itself. May Allah protect us all.

Err…not sure where you see an apology in my tone ? I am not Muslim so neither part of the problem nor the solution. However, I am a concerned bystander since there is always collateral damage when nutcases from either side run amok.

It’s logical from a simplistic point of view. I think we need to look at domestic terrorism cases and take action in proportion to the source. Ban immigration from some countries to limit Muslim extremists, vasectomies for certain types to limit militia type Christian fundamentalists etc.

Fox News host Tucker Carlson asserted over the weekend that it might be time to close the border to Muslims, even though “a lot” of his friends practiced the religion.

As thousands gathered in France on Sunday to support the magazine Charlie Hebdo after it was attacked by terrorists last week, Carlson wondered if the rally would make a difference.

“What exactly does it mean?” Carlson asked. “What exactly going forward will this accomplish?”

“This is an Islamic problem we’re facing. It’s become rigid, it’s become doctrinaire, fundamentalist, and the world is suffering as result,” the Fox News host continued. “At some point, the Obama administration is going to step up – or some subsequent administration – and call the problem what it is, which is a religious problem.”

“Not all Muslims, of course. Most are peaceful and decent people. We all know a lot of them. But there is a species of the religion that has gone completely off the rails, and until you say that out loud, it’s kind of hard to address it.”

Moments later, Carlson argued that France was having a problem was terrorism “because it has the largest Muslim population in Europe as a result of its immigration policies.”

“Is it time to re-think immigration policies in Europe and, by the way, also here in North America, to pay attention to the country of origin?” Carlson opined. “Is it a good idea to let a lot of people from countries where violent Islamism is rife come to this country? What do we get out of it?”

Sadly, until there are large reforms in muslim countries selective curbs on new immigration based on country of origin do make sense. As American I would be petrified if Mullah burqa ever got a green card. I am for laws that discriminate and catch bigots and extremists like him and prevent them from immigration.

Most Muslims including the ones who wear conservative clothes do not have terrorist ideas in mind when immigrating. So how would banning immigration help? If the influx of recruits to groups like ISIS is to stop we have to find out why youths are joining. Most youths that join aren’t starting off as burqa-clad or long-bearded youth. Look at the recent examples - Paris brothers used to wear American looking clothes and bobbed their heads to loud rap music and danced around town taking stupid videos of themselves and did routine jobs. Boston bombers looked like anyone’s neighbors. Regular looking and behaving college kids.

So again how is targeting a largely peaceful and productive intelligent academic community / hard working blue collared workers going to stem the violence?

Start putting people in concentration camps and cut immigration proceedings and not let families reunite here and make life difficult for young guys who are intelligent trying to make a living where they can’t in their home country → creates more restless and angry and resentful youth.

Which is what terrorists are looking for. They feed on discrimination towards Muslims. That’s how they get angry and resentful youth to join them. And FOX is just helping them out because of bigotry.
