In a nation where much less than half of the population is illiterate and much more than half is poverty stricken, how do you propose the under-dog should gain popularity?
Everybody is so busy with character assassination that nobody has the time to consider the actual logistics of winning an election. If alliances need to be made to gain votes then that's what he has to do. Of course IK needs to keep in mind that the cost of winning must never supersede the main objective........

I dont think biradri makes much difference in Lahore politics now, that would play a small part. IK is mostly targetting the young voters, and many ex PMLN or right wingers would vote for him in the next elections. I believe PMLN will be the biggest loser, not because of IK's popularity but their own pathetic performance.

The cost of every day things are skyrocketing, during the past two years the prices of things have almost doubled with almost the same salaries...PIA, railways, PSO almost bankrupt...loadshedding is increasing with each passing day, and no solution to any problem whatsoever which the country is facing...

In that case, Imran should have done TC of Musharraf to get a good "clean" government post 2002.
Btw, I don't know what Imran khan really is because he has flip flopped on political issues, but I sure hope he is not a rightist candidate. Pakistan needs a center-left politician to stand up to the right wing goons instead of appeasing them.
