And till Juneju was alive, he was the president, it is only when he passed away, NS took over the party which Hamid Nasir Chatha never liked and made league of his own. Which then became instrumental in bringing NS govt down.

Tehreek E Istaqlal was alive when NS jumped the ship. It is famous story that Gen. Ghulam Jilani Khan chosen to groom him a future leader. So he did dumped his leader which for King’s party.

Your narration regarding him creating his own faction after Junejo’s death only is factually correct.

Since you agree there is no saint here, IK have some baggage (stories about his playboy lifestyle during his playing days) but one thing is very clear that proven himself a capable leader of the man (not only winning world cup, but also his Hospital and University project are living proof of his abilities).

The only problem he is politically novice, but so does NS during his early career, good thing with IK that there is no corruption allegation against him. Although (rightly or wrongly) he was known as a playboy but since retiring from cricket he has clean life.

I am sure he would not be worst then Zardari in any case.
