Re: For those renting
Sara I was renting a 1 bedroom apartment in Jersey City, by the Hudson.
Re: For those renting
wow, 2100.
I’m not too far from you and prices are INSANE here.
Re: For those renting
2100 was actually a good price for the area we lived in. Our apartment didn't have a view of the skyline, hence the lower price. We were looking at another place wayyyy smaller than our apartment, but it had a view of Manhattan and was 2600. Crazyyy, crazy prices but worth it as the hubby saved on transportation into the city where he works. I don't know what the prices are like in that area now, we moved further down south, to the suburbs.. but I still miss the city feel. You're lucky to be living there! :)
Re: For those renting
Im in Toronto, and its the same story here! We are a one income household as I just joined my husband last year, so out of about 4000, 1350 goes in rent and that too for a 1 bedroom, 730sq ft condo:s Electricity and water is included, but gas and my husbands insurance amounts for a big chunk from the salary. He is used to spending using his credit cards, however, I feel we would be able to monitor our spending better if he gives me cash for groceries every week...Im still a Pakistani at heart i guess hahaha and dealing with cash makes me feel as im more in control of my spendings!
It would be really helpful if you could post the spreadsheet here....Im sure everyyone needs it, including me! Thanks! :)
Re: For those renting
I agree. I would you see how you set up your spreadsheet! :)
