Re: For Ron Paul fans; but i guess main na manoon will be happy right?
i am amazed by the amount of ignorance displayed by pakistanis over international affairs. while zionist lobby has strong influence over both parties in washington, there has always been a wing in the republican party which is relatively neutral to the zionist agenda. this group of republicans has good relations with arabs especially saudis and thus saudis can continue to buy weapons from uncle sam depite objections from israel. in contrast to republicans, democrats have no agenda other than to act as foreign arm of likud party. over the last few years, indians have made common cause with israelis. both parties being nuclear power dont want their opponents to have nuclear weapons and are trying to use the strong arm of u.s. govt to prevent their opponents from being nuclear power.
the other important factor in ditermining u.s. relationship with pak is the u.s. defence department which traditionally has good relationship with pak army. and given that u.s. army is so over stretched these days, their is zero possibility that u.s. govt will do anything to damage the relationship with pak army. moreover defense establishment dont take democratic party leaders too seriously and people hoping that a democratic leadership will clip the wings of pak army are doing nothing more than khayali pulao pakana.
