Try once again ... I have changed it to even allow people on my ignore list to view my blog. Even though I have no one on my ignore list.

Its ok Lusi, at first it doesnt seem fair not being able to comment, but once you actually read some of the material, you begin to have second thoughts about the commenting!

5Abio, I would think that if I don't have any settings in that control, nothing special will happen. But the system randomly decided to let people access or not.

ok try this for experimemnt, i dun have a blog/contact list, else i would:
for members on your contact list: uncheck both items
for everyone else: check both items
then ask your contact list people to view your blog
I still don't know the answer to this:
Sahar, it is with everyone who has private blogs. I am not sure why it is like this but at the moment there is no fix to this except make your blog public...
