What did Emre do exactly? watched the whole game, but went to do something and missed that part. :~( just my luck.

On recap only saw him angrily pushing what seemed like some team's assistant... what provoked him?

Good match, especially the second half! Although I was hoping for a Turkish victory, I'd say Costa Rica deserved the point.

From the Turkish point of view Turkey will have to beat China by at least 2 or 3 goals AND Brazil needs to beat Costa Rica.

Under normal circumstances, I would say that's what's going to happen. But after being surprised so often during this world cup, there's no way to predict that!

Well the ball went out to the side line and directly fell into the hands of co trainer of Costa Rica. He was delaying the play for a sec not more and Emere gave him a hard push. Just stupid and then both sides became over excited and had some trash talk.
Thanks God referee could avoid worse.

No Ali, I am not too much sad coz costarika was better than turkey and if turkey played well than I got sorry since missing points. Honestly turkey does not deserve to be in 16 with this capacity. director of turkey put two attack footballers in 65th minute though the score was 1-0 and the defence of turkey was too bad, this was foolish fault. Still Turkey used only one attack footballer (Hakan Sukur; he was as if a ghost in both matches) and 5 in the middle field costarika was more brave since he used two attack footballer though 1 point was necessary for him. They did wonderfull defence but they can not find such space places when attacking in his other matches. Turkey’s middle field footballers could not connect with defend and they can not press in the middle to castarikans.
Emre (he plays in ýnter in italy) was actually not a spoilt child, he is sympathic on the contrary.Because of this his unfair and foolish behave I surprised indeed.
This tournament proved that no team is too much superior than other. Whoever establishes good organization and plays willingly and clever beats other. Costarika is a bit different from other latin cou coz they not only use good technic but also plays agresively. Actually turkish footballers not too bad but still they could not spirit of team and they do not have sufficent experiments. But individually turk footballers are more good than costarika according to me.
BTW as I read on newspaper turkish footballers went seul mosque for fridaypray in frieday. The imam was pakistani and he prayed for success of turkish team with other korean jamaah but as I understood pakistani imams are not sufficet in their duty

lol. I was thinking the same thing about you. Football (and cricket) are my passion, Galatasaray. Who is your favourite Turkish player by the way? (By the way, I will post my reply in the WA Forum soon, Insha’Allah. Thank you for your patience).

I am sorry to read what you wrote in your last post regarding the Galatasaray-Roma players. :frowning: They didn’t show that here or I must have missed it. That was a very wrong incident.

Although I dont support Turkey, I think they still have a chance of getting through to the next round.

ANKARA, June 9 (Xinhuanet) – Turkish national football team coach Senol Gunes said in Incheon, South Korea, on Sunday that there was still a chance for the second round of the World Cup, reported the Anatolian News Agency.

After the match against Costa Rica which **ended with a 1-1 draw,**Gunes told reporters that his team was so close to three points it had targeted, but gave away a very unlucky goal in the last few seconds.

Gala, Emere is known for his aggressive behaviour in big matches. As it happenend against Kopenhagen when they were loosing, he suddenly went mad and kicked the guy in front of him without any reason. The Referee spotted it and showed him the yellow although I thought he deserved a red for this action.

)my turkish favorite turkish footballer is OKAN in turkey team. He is the brain of the middle field. And has capacity to do accessant press and to determine attackss. Also he is a surprise goaler. but unfortunately he could not play against BRA and COS sice he is injured. Most of the turkish footballers play in European famous teams and surely Galatasaray((Hasan,Ümit davala, Bulent, Ergun plays in Galatasaray; Hakan sukur, hakan unsal(his most famous feature is that he always see red card at 88th minute like in batcelona and brazil match

http://www3.pak.org/gupshup/smilies/smile.gif

fatih, okan, emre, tugay were previous Galatasaray footballers, now in europan teams) I mean Turkey team depends on galatasaray. Galatasaray is the skeletion of turkey.

what about your favourite footballers in europa? BTW I must admit I learned the existence of cricket in this site

you mean the match against ARESENAL ýn kopenhagen (the finalmatch of UEFA cup)???I could not remember such an event coz that match happened too much ago (you have a memory like a computer, brave!)But before that match arsenal funs along with leeds funs attacked turk supporters (most of turk families were ordinary families) and those funs terrorized before the match. So may be these events could effect galatasaray footballers like Emere coz as if there was no insurance and gurantee for their and turk supporters' safety of life. His agressive behave could be related those bad events sourced by british funs, a man must have a too strict nervous to avoid such behaivours). Also in Costarica match he was done too much faults. takecare...

Arsenal? Arsenal didn't play in UEFA cup this season and Emere doesnt play for Arsenal it was against Inter Mailand it was Feyenoord Sorry got it wrong.

Ah I thought you mentioned when he played against arsenal FOR galatasaray a few years ago in uefa cup final match in copenhagen. He was galatasaray footballer at that time. after taking cup Okan, Hakan and Emre were transfeRred to INTER from GALATASARAY. Okan and emre are still play for ýnter but hakan was transferred to PARMA from there.

Galatasaray, yes football is my passion. My family thinks I have gone mad during the World Cup season because, living in Canada, the time differences in the matches are a lot and I am awake from 2 am to about 7 am to catch the matches. But I wouldn’t miss them for anything. Living in Turkey the time differences are probably much better.

which team do you support? (surely after galatasaray(the biggestteam in world)
lol… well, yes of course Galatasaray is my favourite team;-) And after that, probably Ireland I think. hmm why Ireland? I don’t know. hehe I think the dominating teams like Brazil, Argentina, England already have lots of fans and support.. I like to root for the underdog sometimes.

http://www3.pak.org/gupshup/smilies/smile.gif

So Okan is your favourite footballer, wow.. I hope his injury is not too bad:-( And Insha’Allah he is able to play in future matches in the coming days Insha’Allah. I thought Hakan Unsal played for Blackburn Rovers - hmm but I could be very wrong. I don’t know why but I always liked Hasan Sas… I don’t know why though:-/ I really like him a lot.

Who are your favourite footballers in Europa? I used to be very uptodate with all cricket matches but since I moved from the middle east this has declined a lot:-( I still try to stay uptodate via the internet, but it’s not the same. I haven’t seen a live match in YEARS! lol @ university… yes I think this Forum has quite a few wise Guppies about sports. But ALL my predictions for this World Cup have all gone upside down because there have been so many upsets!

http://www3.pak.org/gupshup/smilies/smile.gif

Which next matches are you most eager about? Will you be watching the US Korea one tomorrow?
