Try using fruits as "snacks".. eating carrots, apples, grapes whenever you get a bit hungry between meals. And drink lots of water.

Oh, and drink water 30 mins before or after you eat. I read this at a islamic site once. Apparantly you shouldnt drink with the food. I never got around to that though, because im tooo used to drinking with the food it felt so hard.
