Fizza , following is the recipe:

Add three tablespoons of butter in a pot, add one chopped green chilli in it as well as half tsp zeera seeds .. as soon as they crackle, add in the chana daal and enough water for it to boil in. Add salt to taste as well.

When the daal is half boiled. Keep it on low heat and in another pot, add two more tablespoons of butter and fry ginger and garlic in it, then add two tomatoes chopped and cook until its a fine paste, add in a tiny bit water from the daal and then add the spices , haldi, red chilli powder, cumin seed powder and corriander seed powder. Then add fresh corriander and some more whole green chilli and add this to the daal ..

Finally , add two more tablespoons of butter in the pan and fry thinly sliced onion , when brown add this whole thing to the daal as tarka ..

Let it all heat until daal is fully done. Makhani chana daal is ready ..
