Food and Dieting

Re: Food and Dieting

or imagine yourself as a HUGE fat lady with a triple chin whenever u see these foods.

Re: Food and Dieting

controlling portions is what is the most difficult thing to do .... as well as cut out snacks. I stuffed myself silly yesterday with Italian food too. :(

Re: Food and Dieting

what's wrong with fat people, i like fat people. pcg eat whateve you like and if you turn into a baloon one day, u'll kn ow that there's still one person out there who won't judge you.

Re: Food and Dieting

According to a Hadith narrated by Ibn Abbas RA,
Prophet Mohammed Sallallahu Alaihiwasallum (PBUH) was advising to Saad bin Abi Viqas RA to eat only Halal foods because Allah will not accept the Du'a for forty days if a small bite of Haram food was consumed.

It is our responsibility to investigate before we eat whether the food is Halal or not. The excuses such as " Islam is a easy religion", " Do not go into too detail about the foods", " food products are too comlex" have no base according to above Hadith. There books on Halal foods, ingredients and their Halal status, there are many Halal foods web sites for Muslims to educate.

Re: Food and Dieting

Ouch! U had kidney stones, poor thing…my mum has that now :frowning: Well, chocolate is my BIGGEST weakness! I have a sweet tooth so all that other junk is not a problem for me…controlling my sweet cravings is the hard bit…i don’t believe in dieting, it doesn’t work for everyone…some ppl need to change their whole lifestyle, all habits from when u eat, to how much u eat…it’s hard in the States i think, the portions here are massive! I can never finish my plate when we go out to eat  so at least at home, try to watch ur portions…and perhaps use as many low-fat/fat-free versions of products

Re: Food and Dieting

I hate dieting and i hate exercising... :(

Re: Food and Dieting

Yeah…like man, you don’t understand…

I went into the hospital for those kidney stones, and the ER head nurse asked me what I ate that day…

If I remember correctly, my answer was:

1 hamburger
2 slices of pizza
1/2 turkey sandwhich

And that was my LUNCH only. I went into the ER around like 5 pm or so. :grumpy:

The nurse thought I was crazy…and actually complimented me that she’s amazed that I actually still have a figure. So, I’m not really that fat. But I am definitely abusing my metabolism, and I don’t know for how much longer its going to stay on my side. :bummer:

Re: Food and Dieting

Ahh, it’s ok i guess some ppl have a bigger appetite…and since u still have a good figure then that’s one less thing to worry about i guess…my bro is like that too…he eats EVERYTHING and barely gains anything…and me, it seems like if i even look at the chocolate cake in the fridge i’m gaining weight! But wot we need to be careful about is wot’s happening on the insides of our bodies…even if u r slim, ur heart etc. mite not be healthy u know…i’m not a doctor lol, but i’ve heard that kidney stones can be prevented…they come from the foods u eat…just be careful…hopefully, u’ll be fine from now on

Agar phat nahi to jatti hi nahin !

Re: Food and Dieting

Kashmiri - gaining weight and losing your figure are two different things. Fikar not, I've gained considerable weight from eating like a cow.

Re: Food and Dieting

You don’t abuse your metabolism by eating more or less. I am sure you have met few people who eat a lot but they are still bag of bones. This all due to their fast metabolism. It is naturally fast in few people and very slow in others. But that’s a fact that your metabolism slows down as you get older. That’s the reason people start to gain weight in their mid twenties even if they are eating the same amount of food that they were eating in their teens.

Re: Food and Dieting

Hehe, ok i’ll stop fikaring now…happy dieting
